Job Description

  JOB DESCRIPTION   
•         Impose group rules and definitions that guarantee fully alignment of customer management, base reporting.
•         Perform Subscriber base reporting and ensure accurate deliverables, aligned with monthly closing time table and finance reporting cycle.
•         Ensure definitions alignment across company units (Acquisition, Loyalty & Retention).
•         Define process to accommodate new launched services and promotions and guarantee Their impact on current definitions.
•         Understand business information requirements and define a set of reports and analysis required to support the requirements.
•         Set daily tracking reports of KPIs compared to forecasts and targets.
•         Define data access policies and procedures with alignment with group business risk management.
•         Drive the implementation of group BI projects across OPCOs and liaise with vendors to accommodate best technologies with respect to defined/Communicated budget.
•         Monitor and ensure standards are being adhered to.
•         Guide and support the OPCO BI teams to implement the BI functions.
•         Design and maintain KPI’s in reporting tool (e.g. Micro strategy)
•         Ensure the integrity of data from source vs the data warehouse.
•         Design and publish reports.
•         Setup the security of access to data.
•         Support business in data analysis and queries.
•         Support revenue assurance data requirements.
•         Analyse the market and competition, customer behaviour and customer satisfaction.
•         Perform quantitative and qualitative research.
•         Gather and report on key market and performance indicators.
•         Investigate and recommend pricing.
•         Evaluate product performance.
•         Examine channel performance and recommend improvements
•         Recommend relevant products and promotions.
•         Measure communication performance.
•         Support the development of the marketing plan.
•         Support the development of the Opco business plans.
•         Direct, organize, and lead BI workstream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems.
•         Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the group wide BI systems.
•         Set Business Intelligence performance objectives, in alignment with the commercial Strategy, and continuously monitor progress and development  towards organizational targets.
•         Lead the Business Intelligence team and provide leadership, encourage teamwork and facilitate related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and staff pride in performance and contribution  

Responsibilities

TECHNICAL SKILLS
•         Educate users on data warehousing capabilities
•         Analyze business information requiremen
•         Design training infrastructure for data warehouse 
•         Discover business transformation rules
•         Work with production data to validate business requirements
•         Map business requirements to the data warehouse model
•         Discover dimension, hierarchies and facts 
•         Develop security rules/standards 
•         Create data results through techniques and tools such as basic SQL queries, reporting data mining and multidimensional analysis 
•         Develop necessary reports 
•         Convert existing reports to the data warehouse environment 
•         Develop report delivery schedules 
•         Develop training materials to train users 
•         Write users' guide 
•         Train BI users
•         Assist users in finding the right information 
•         Interface with process teams regarding business process re engineering

Requirements

  1. Bachelors’ degree/Diploma in Computer Science or BCom Informatics
  2. 5 years or above of experience in mobile communications environment
  3. Knowledge of open source reporting and analysis tools  (Preferably DWH and BI tools Teradata  ,Oracle OWB ODI ,OBIEE, Microstrategy , or others related tools.
  4. Solid experience in using business analysis tools required (reporting and multidimensional cube analysis tools) 
  5. Strong knowledge of SQL query language
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in the following competencies preferred: Data Warehousing Concepts Communications Business/Product Knowledge Business Analysis Strong knowledge of MS Office suite (e.g. Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  7. Experience in managing and delivering  analytics models in telecom (Churn prediction, Next best offer , Market model ,..etc.)
  1. Strong knowledge of Big data analytics , Machine learning and related tools like R , Python ,Azure ML , Amazon ML Statistical Knowledge in relevant areas of descriptive and predictive analytics techniques ( Data preparation , Algorithms , Evaluation techniques and relevant statistical tools )
